Pacific Rim? More like Pacific Min...iature. MonPoc is coming back!

I don't understand how you don't understand this. If everything in the first wave, for example, is available to purchase, there's no good reason to disallow older figures that match what's available.

This is no different from someone buying everything from a new edition of warmahordes. IT WILL HAPPEN ANYWAY (unless the game dies, i guess)

Your argument boils down to "if people have everything that's legal for play too fast, the people who buy it slowly will feel bad because they don't have as many figures" but this happens in EVERY build-your-own game.

It's about encouraging growth rather than sating people who held on to their out of print items for a decade

how exactly do you see this growth happening when the previously loyal players are told that their investment is worthless and they need to spend MORE money?

Growth happens with an enfranchised playerbase who can foster new players. NOT when you alienate the very players most likely to popularize your game.
