Pack it up Godfather fans, you’ve just lost

I love the film. But it’s clever in such a way that is extremely obvious. I don’t want to sound like I’m shitting on it, but it’s s film which is nearly impossible to not understand. It’s full of callbacks and foreshadowing that make it a really good rewatch too. But for me, it’s the kind of thing which kinda reeks of superficiality on its fandom. Some of my favorite aspects of it are things that rarely get mentioned, which have more to do with the themes of legacy and father/son relationships.

I have an extremely spicy take about ATLA which is basically the same. A lot of people love it because it’s a decent entry point to long form visual storytelling or world building.
