Pact of Negation Dilemma

This is a fair point, but I would argue that the nature of competition is that you don't get to say how someone should play. In a competitive setting all that matters is the end result. It doesn't matter if you believe your opponent didn't play to win but they did. The beauty of competitive is that it is agnostic to what we believe is the proper way to play. Imagine you are playing a 1v1 competition and believe a play will allow you to win but you are mistaken and it causes your loss. While you are not playing optimally to win you are not being anti-competitive even if you continue to make this suboptimal choice. The only way to play a competitive game incorrectly is to refuse to compete or to cheat.
