Paid Parking in Fairhaven

So, I work down here. My two cents? Virtually no one I've talked to who works down here lives in Fairhaven, they can't afford to. Many (including myself) can't afford to live in Bellingham at all. That requires cars. I live in Blaine because it was the only place I could afford and I worked in Blaine at the time. I looked into taking the bus now, it would be 1.5 hours each way and would not line up with the hours I work

So those most effected by the fee are those who already are some of the poorest people here. It's just another penalty for being poor. I'd love to move into Bellingham. I used to ride my bicycle all the time when I worked in Blaine and I'd happily move in and ride it here too. The only choice that I get to make is whether I continue to work here or not. I didn't get to choose any of the rest of my circumstances.
