In pain, was I given the right amount of Novocaine?

I feel your pain and I’m sorry they didn’t listen to you. I pretty much felt all tooth extractions and other serious dental work from young childhood to adulthood and the 3 different dentists that I went to blew off my concerns and drilled away and/or extracted my teeth not believing me.

I started with a new dentist when I was 42 and I explained to him my past dental experiences. He is a kind man and he said well you won’t feel any pain today. He gave me Novocain shots and a few minutes later came back in and tested me by tapping different teeth and asked me which ones he was touching. I scored a 100%. He said wow you seem to have an over abundance of nerves in your jaw. He gave me more Novocain shots and boom finally I was fully numb for the first time in my life.

Seriously why did you or I have to suffer? Did the dentists think we are bullshitting them and just continue because they are Masochists? My new dentist figured out rather quickly what was wrong with me so did I really need to suffer for decades?
