Pair charged with murder after two children die in Sheffield | UK news

Surprised they haven't released more info about this. The post-mortems were completed on Friday and in the meantime there's all sorts of speculation on social media, from bombings to cruel foster parents to poisoning to cultist rituals. IMO the police should fill that vacuum with some simple details about the cause(s) of death.

Having said that, this isn't the first time in recent months that Sheffield police have deliberately concealed details of a crime from the public. In March 2019 Sakariya Mohammed, 23, stabbed two elderly people in the face and neck with a screwdriver in a Tesco store. According to eyewitnesses he shouted 'allah ackbar' during the attack, which was barely reported at the time and described by police as an 'isolated incident.' I'm pretty sure that had a right-wing loon stabbed two people with a screwdriver while shouting "For Tommy Robinson" or similar, it would have been front page news.

South Yorkshire police really don't inspire very much confidence or trust.
