Pakistani lawmakers claim women’s march was anti-Islam; unanimously adopted a resolution on Wednesday denouncing the marches as a “shameless and un-Islamic act.”; Pakistani women carried posters demanding women’s rights, attacking Pakistan’s patriarchal society

How is oppressing women's rights gonna make them not march? Making laws declaring them against Islam won't stop the marchers cause it's not.

They're declaring it un-Islamic because it had undesirable talk such as "men should make their own sandwiches" and "we're happy to be divorced/single". That aspect of it was considered bad and not the concept of equality between men and women itself.

They want basic fucking rights

What basic rights do they not have...?

Hope next year's march is much bigger.

Exactly. They're still not be denied any rights. They are still allowed to do the march if they wish to do so next year (atleast for now)
