Yes but seeing as she is teaching first graders, she probably showed an example of some kind as basically every young art class starts. Most kids at 5 years old don't have flag details in their heads, much less specific identity based ones.

So I assume she showed them an example of a pansexual flag in some lens to introduce the lesson plan, seeing as she designed the lesson as a pseudo-celebration for coming out to her family. And she probably supervised the kids trying to draw any specific identity flags.

Otherwise it is a horribly vague lesson of draw anything on a rectangular square. That is a shitty art teacher regardless then
