My daughter's father has bipolar disorder type 1 and schizophrenia. He's completely delusional and he doesn't treat any of his conditions so he has not been emotionally stable for at least 7 years now. He has previously been abusive to me and her when she was really little - he even hit me and threw me on the ground on more than one occasion when I was pregnant with her. She completely idolizes her dad.

She can't see him, and I just tell her that he has an illness he needs to treat before she can see him. It pisses me off that she idolizes him because he's a legitimate piece of shit.
