Parents with Vives, do you want more games for your kids?

My 7 year old loves Climbey and To The Top. I am not quite sure what these will do to his brain so I keep playtimes limited. I'm afraid he'll grow up with zero fear of heights and ledges, which would be very dangerous as a teen :p. He's even built his own levelssin Climbey (which are actually reasonably good)

He also loves RecRoom, but that's sadly not allowed. He was excellent at it and didn't behave like the standard idiot screaming kids. He was well able to understand team roles and revive people or how to defend the flag, etc. I'm surprised at his tactical skills and wish there were more games like that for him. Pavlov is too violent and realistic, I think the RecRoom cartoon style helps kids understand it's not really real, like cartoon movie violence and action sequences would be really disturbing if the same stuff was shown with real actors.

No Mans Sky is another favorite. I think because it has mild action, and grinding is something kids like to master, pity there isn't a vr version.

The social aspect of VR is also popular. He gets to practice his english when playing, and there are not many opportunities for that otherwise.

I grew up with zx spectrum gaming, commodore 64, megadrive, playstation, xboxes, but gaming got really boring and uninspiring for the last 10 years (apart from mobile, but I am not interested in that). it's cool that vr has come along now, and I can provide my kids with the toys I wished for when I was young, and to be able to share an excitement and interest with my kid. The alternative it that he'd be sitting still staring into some mobile crap (Pokemon Go didn't hold my attention but he loved it).

I'm not sure but I think games where you play a character or role are maybe not so good for developing kids who are still working out their own sense of self. The games that he likes best don't really ask you to play in-character. Maybe that's something to consider.
