I also want you to know, that I completely agree with your sentiment. I think that life should be celebrated rather than death death mourned and I think that people that died,; lot of them I've heard through their friends survived in documentaries said they wanted to be remembered for their life not that there were murdered unmercifull by the German created genocide.

I also understand that some people may be offended by being joyful around the memorial. I also do think, that as a memorial it's there for the people that died to be remembered.

Not necessarily mourned, not necessarily celebrated, but to be remembered. How people do that I believe is up to them.

It's also said that people should be educated and light brought to the past because should we not educate our youth on the tragedies of our past it is our future that is doomed and to be repeated. And whether, and regardless of how people bring attention to the memorial the fact that it is getting any attention at all, I believe is, or can be a good thing. At least it's bringing awareness to the situation. You could never convince me that should there have been a similar memorial back then, pre-genocide with a different culture involved, that people wouldn't be climbing over and enjoying their lunch there.

It is also my firm belief, that nobody else has the right to tell somebody else how old are they mourn, celebrate, or remember the tragedies of our past or the memories of their loved ones.

Making rash, and uneducated decisions, and being judgemental about other people is how we got into that f****** s*** show to begin with.
