I was a participant in Janssen's clinical trial for the newly FDA approved intranasal drug Esketamine for treament resistant depression/suicidal ideation. AMA

I didn't really see any significant improvement. It's not something you get an Rx for. You would need someone to drive you to a Drs office where you would take it while there and be observed for an hour. Since it didn't really help me I decided to not continue with it after the clinical trial was over. I thought about possibly trying the IV Ketamine, but my Dr didn't think that would help since the nasal spray didn't help and my parents weren't willing to pay for it. The last time I took the drug was back in August. I would say my depression is about the same or slightly worse since then. However some of that could be from me stopping my antidepressant.
