This is why I asked. What I actually described was a Libertarian socialist. Government funded healthcare and education does not go against that philosophy. We believe it's up to us to choose how to deal with these constructs, not the state or government. I feel like the majority of reddit has a very skewed view of what a Libertarian is, and that might be partly because the only Libertarians they really pay attention to are the nutcases that believe a stop light shouldn't tell them when they can and can't go.

I'll apologize now though, as my question was rhetorical, but I was open to see if you had something I hadn't heard before. It's a little aggravating to be labeled with sweeping generalizations anytime I tell someone what I am.
