The past week...

I test seronegative for Rheumatoid Arthritis and Systemic Lupus Erythematous. This means that I do not test positive for Rheumatoid Factor nor anti-CCPs as far as RA is concerned. However testing high for inflammatory markets are what caused the doc to give me these diagnoses, at least according to my Rheumatologist and Pain Management Doc.

Unfortunately, most Rheumatologists will toss you into the Fibromyalgia category when CRP and Sed Rate are testing normal. I recently read a research article that concluded why this should not necessarily be the case, especially in the presence of pain. However in the US these days, if docs don’t see black-and-white “inflammation” in the labs, they stop searching.
