I'm sensing a bit of hostility towards rabbis in your post but I think it just comes from a lack of understanding.

The prohibition in the Torah (based on Talmudic teachings of Maimonides understanding who is basically the current ruling call for Judaism along some others) is for any mixture of meat and milk is for בשר בחלב (Literally translated as "meat inside of milk")

" ** רֵאשִׁית, בִּכּוּרֵי אַדְמָתְךָ, תָּבִיא, בֵּית יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ; ** לֹא-תְבַשֵּׁל גְּדִי, בַּחֲלֵב אִמּוֹ. "

But how could this be? Literally translated, the prohibition in the Torah is ("No Meat stewed/boiled/prepared in its mothers milk) so surely that means no cow milk cheese on a cow meat hamburger, but surely I could have chicken and cheese, I mean chickens don't even make milk! Wrong!

The prohibition on not mixing meat in milk of it's mother is stated three separate times , 2 in exodus and 1 in Deuteronomy. Not many prohibitions are repeated explicitly like this and made this obvious, so the rabbis stated this is a very important decree of G-o-d and must be studied fully on what the prohibition actually means, and the result is what it is today.

"Jacob ben Asher, an influential medieval rabbi, remarked that the gematria of do not boil a kid (Hebrew: לא תבשל גדי) is identical to that of it is the prohibition of eating, cooking and deriving benefit (Hebrew: ובישול והנאה), a detail that he considered highly significant."
