Agreed. Absolutes really only work in theory, in principle everything is a careful Balancing Act. Yes, private individuals and companies and so on should retain a high degree of autonomy to make their own choices, but at the same time...yes I'm going to say it....we live in a society. The laws themselves aren't animae entities, they exist serve the common good of the people.

If government suppression of rights and free behavior - both explicit and implicit - is curtailed only because it is now being done by commercial entities - or, if you're going to be very cynical, because it was intentionally outsourced to these commercial entities to get around the restrictions on the government - the result basically ends up being the same.
