Patient called the cops

Our unit currently has a long-term patient we’re having trouble getting approved for placement. He’s like this except it’s always between 4 and 5 am where shit just hits the fan.

And I mean that quite literally.

He grabs handfuls of poop and throws them all over the room and against the glass doors, screaming about us trying to kill him. He’s also c-diff positive. The other night he didn’t have any poop so he just suddenly lunged at me and grabbed my arm, attempting to snap it (literally like a stick). Thank god my CNA was there and immediately jumped in to help me because I genuinely think he would have hurt me. I’m like 5’3” and weigh 100lbs. This guy, while older, is like 200 lbs, tall, and strong. He had the scariest look in his eyes, dude.

Later when he calmed down he was like, “Take my hand. I want to hold your hand.” And I was like, “no dude, I don’t trust you. You tried to hurt me.” And he just goes, “good idea, I was going to hurt you again.” Like fuck he better not still be there when I get back after my days off.
