Apocalypse Now, Full Metal Jacket... these movies demonstrate clearly the atrocities of war committed by American soldiers. These were intended to be anti-war movies.

If you watched those movies again, you’ll see that the Vietnamese are portrayed as background characters and are also portrayed negatively (mainly as the villains). Growing up, I’ve known people who used lines from those movies to mock Asians like “me so horny” from Full Metal Jacket

I have never met an American who was not also familiar with these atrocities.

Yet there are Americans who supported the war in Iraq where numerous war crimes were committed. Remember this war crime in Iraq where American soldiers raped a 14 year old girl and also murdered that 14 year old girl and her family?

If America had never invaded Iraq in the first place, ISIS would have never existed

I am sorry that your time in America left you with such resentment towards the American people.

Being against the American government is different than having “resentment towards the American people.”
