Paul Wells: You thought this government was about family benefits and boil-water advisories? The Lavalin affair offers a glimpse of the real scene—maybe the real Canada.

Has any government in recent memory not been for corporate interests above the public interest? The Liberals are for one handful of corporations, the Conservatives are for another handful of corporations, the NDP has lost its connection to working class labour issues. The fuck are we supposed to do? I'll never vote liberal or conservative and may hold my nose to vote NDP but at the end of the day If I have to be governed by a bunch of crooked slime balls I prefer the Liberal brand of crooked slime ball over the Conservatives who are really a bunch of bay street finance and insurance bros pretending they give a shit about rural Canada and farmers.
