Why Is This Paulie's Song?

Happy to infuriate you! :) You sound pretty smart yourself.

So you think Bobby googled the song too or knew what it was about (or ist it a well-known Sinatra-song? I'm actually interested)? The song's theme definitely adds to the oddness though. The comedy works on different levels here, agree? It's also odd that Paulie has a song at all. Normally it's couples that have a song, right?! Why does this bachelor wiseguy have a song? Why does everyone know that this is his song so no one has to explain it? Why the fuck is this his song? What's the story behind that? These are the questions that pop up for the audience intuitively and Bobby serves as a proxy for the audience here.

That's the fart I'm smelling and you're right - me posting on reddit is partly an exercise in smelling my farts, also testing my writing skills in a foreign language and hava a bit of intellectual sparring. Everybody getting butthurt and self-righteous in discussions also seems to be one of the characteristics of the medium. Others fish for internet points, humble brag, virtue signal, troll, rant, etc.

We all go about in pity for ourselves.
