Pax 3 looking for long term user

I’ll try to make this as straight forward as I can without completely killing your buzz, and maybe something in my process will help keep your Pax 3 going strong for as many years as mine has been:

-I’ve only used it between 170 and 190 degrees (except when I heat to max temperature and lightly blow through it to get any residue from my cleaning process vaporized off of it before it’s last wipe down, and one time I used really sticky bud that needed more heat, but I’d recommend against putting any improperly dried cannabis in it regularly or ever actually anyways, for reasons better than simply inefficient battery drain from higher temperature requirements)

-I always aimed to stop charging before completely done, or at least use it right after a fresh charge so the battery wasn’t sitting too full for too long, and try not to let it die ever, or at least never leave it dead for longer than you have to

-I don’t put it back in any smell proof case before it’s cooled down, because some have been quite insulating and I could find it still hot to the touch a while later

-I don’t heat it up too suddenly when I use it in very cold environments (if it’s cold, try to get it warm with your body temperature first if you know you’ll want to use it soon, or heat it to its lowest temperature option and leave it going until the warmth spreads evenly through more of the device than where you’ll initially find the heat emanating from before turning it up to your desired temperature)

-I don’t use it in environments warmer than about 25 degrees, because when I have, even at relatively low temperatures, it becomes far too hot (even too hot to comfortably hold, and I don’t care what it’s designed to withstand, that can’t be good to do to it all the time)

-I used a shockproof storage container that keeps it from getting knocked around too much when it’s on the go with me

-I always wipe away excess residue that accumulates all around the mouth piece and button area, afraid it’ll eventually accumulate enough to find its way into and destroy the internal components if I don’t (even the driest bud will build wet and sticky residue up at a noticeable rate, so that’s why I really recommend against anything too unusually sticky going through it often)

Obviously these are all the most extreme ideals I aimed for, but it has held up well, even if I do break a rule or two every now and then. Again, it’s been years and works great, even if it doesn’t last as long as it used to between charges, I got years of at least a weekly charge cycle (or sometimes 2-3) before it ever even became noticeably degraded, and “noticeable” battery degradation still hasn’t graduated to or even made it within the vicinity of “problematic”.

Pax has awesome customer service so, if you do take care of it and still have a problem eventually anyways, I’d rest assured that you can detail the meticulousness of whatever maintenance routine you settle into, and they’ll take it at face value and ask you to mail it back under the pretence it’s very likely a covered warranty claim and not your fault (even if they do just fix it instead of replace it, you’ll be happier to have it working again than just be gone and you’re out however much one costed in your country/currency/purchase timeframe.
