[PC] Futuristic Open World RPG

I can't really think of any that fit that description, but here are a few that might interest you anyway;

  • Shadowrun Returns / Shadowrun: Hong Kong - Turn Based CRPGs, though not necessarily open world they are very open in how you can build and play your character. Based on the tabletop games of the same name they take place in a cyberpunk world filled with magic and mythological beings. Lots of crime, conspiracy, hacking, and dragons.

  • Knights of the Old Republic / Knights of the Old Republic 2 - Turn Based(ish) RPG, based in the Star Wars universe. The first game was made by BioWare, who made Mass Effect, and the second was made by Obsidian, who made Fallout: New Vegas. You can be either a servant of the light side or dark side of the force, based on decisions you make in game. Lots of character build options, although some are definitely more viable than others. Similar to Mass Effect it has various companions (and potential love interests) who can also be swayed to be light or dark.

  • Star Wars: The Old Republic - MMORPG, based on the previous games. Developed by BioWare. Don't be thrown off by the fact it's an MMO, the story is pretty much designed to be played singleplayer. Every character class has a different story to play through, and they're all generally well written. Keeps the light/dark side system from the previous games, and features new companions and love interests. Would recommend subscribing if you are going to play, as you get a LOT of benefits, including a huge XP boost which makes the combat a lot less of a grind.
