I miss those Halo party times with friends in multiple rooms with pizza and soda too, believe me. But if I look back and compare, the games that I enjoy now are objectively so much better than those. There's just nothing on the Xbox One that appeals to me that doesn't also exist on PC, and even that is a small slice.

Don't get me wrong, I hope the best for the next gen Xbox. I want it to succeed. But I really hope they don't keep playing towards younger audiences with mindless FPS shooters meant for kids like it seems they keep doing. Look at the list of PS4 exclusives that are just on another level that Xbox One games can't compare to: Last of Us, Bloodborne, FF7R, Uncharted, Shadow of the Colossus, Horizen Zero Dawn, God of War, etc.
