Pebble Time vs. Apple Watch: Which is better?

I currently have and love the original Pebble.

All the apps you enjoy on your original Pebble, can be used on Time. And you're already familiar with the Pebble paradigm and use cases. So for that and the below reasons I say....

Which is better and which should I buy?

Pebble Time, or Pebble Time Steel!

  • Pebble Time is a 64 color, e-paper version, with a microphone, of the Pebble you already have!

  • It's cheaper than an Apple Watch!

  • Battery life on Pebble Time is still 7 days, and now 10 days on Pebble Time Steel!

  • Pebble Time's accessory port alone, is a feature that puts in a class above all other Smartwatches. With the port, the sky is the limit - you can add extra battery life, lights, sensors, gps, heart rate monitors, arduino's, you name it.

  • Pebble Time, like all Pebbles before it, has an always on screen which only needs a backlight in the dark - and which becomes more readable as the ambient light is increased on it (making it very sunlight visible).

  • Pebble Time is still extremely water resistant - you can swim with it, shower with it, etc.

  • Pebble Time takes any 22mm watch band, not just a proprietary one like Apple watch. If you already had a band you liked on your original Pebble, you can put it on your Pebble Time. Better still, Pebble Time comes with quick release watch band pins!

  • It also works on both iOS and Android so you're not locked to one device or ecosystem, should you want to try a different device or OS!

  • Pebble Time will ship with PebbleOS v3.0, aka Timeline, which is a much easier to use, faster OS - allowing you to very quickly get to the information you need, right now, with lots of neat animations! It also allows apps to "pin info to your timeline" - even without a watch app, by using the internet!

  • And like before, Pebble Time has buttons. Which means it can be used while wet - or even underwater (touchscreens usually freak out when wet). This also means it can be used with gloves on (something those of us in the snow belt are seriously appreciating right now), or when snowboarding/skiing, or while wearing motorcycle gloves, etc.
