Imagine telling a gay person to go to therapy to control their thoughts and ignore them. I’m not saying pedophilia is right (because it’s definitely not) but you can’t just change who someone is. You can’t teach them to change who they are. Assuming you’re a straight male imagine going to a therapist and having them tell you that liking woman is wrong and you need to suppress your urges when you see them and learn to be attracted to other men instead. Easy to tell someone to do something they’re the ones who will be doing all the work that requires them to fight their emotions and who they are. Still I’m not defending them. Just saying who have to look at both sides. And saying “oh just see a therapist and learn to be normal” is easy for you to say but much harder for them to pull off
