A peek in the life of patients in a psychiatric facility back in the day. Real people, real pictures.

Assuming the message of this post is to showcase how barbaric the past history of psychiatric care has been I've got two totally unrelated points to make:

1) If you think the idea of a cock/penis guard/male chastity belt/what every the fuck you want to call it is insane consider this: The entire reason for the wide spread american adoption of routine infant (and with current medical knowledge non-therapeutic) circumcision was to keep men from masturbating for ridiculous reasons. The foreskin is THE most sensitive part of the penis, and in fact on average has more nerve ending than the clitoris. If you want me to sources I can provide them, I'm just to lazy/drunk to put them in this post

B: Those self harm images most likely have nothing to do with the quality of care said patients were receiving. Those cuts ain't got shit on what I've done to myself (pretty much the entirety of my anterior antebrachial skin is scarred) and I've received nothing but complete loving support from my family and psychiatric care that I personally have found to be helpful and supportive and I've never been inside a psych institution, well as a Assuming the message of this post is to showcase how barbaric the past history of psychiatric care has been I've got two totally unrelated points to make:
