Peloton Hires Mckinsey: Exploring Job cuts, Store closures, and new fees.

yup, strategically they're only in reactive mode, not proactive.

there doesn't seem to be a clear line of sight for the next steps, which is surprising.

I have seen a ton of job openings from them on LinkedIn from October/November till end of Dec, and was always wondering HOW they were able to justify hiring. they kept inflating the corporate/administrative side of things.

Strategically, they need to push more into apparel, doing a JV with UnderArmour, Lulu, Nike, Champion... hell, anyone. get the brand marketed more, and take advantage of the "Brand" exclusivity.

Adjust their classes to be more geographic based; instead of having thousands join, get smaller. just parse/parcel the groups so people are only "competing" in their regions, making it more exclusive.

Get some Celebs to do a celeb bike ride, "side by side" with the trainer. just keep a video on them, have them talk every so often (give them the green light to say something, but then cut the mike)

one thing that honestly shocks me, is how little they have in terms of live scheduled cycling. i'm paying $40 a month, and there's only like 3 rides a day that fit my abilities.
