Penguins Willing to Trade First-Round Pick, in Win-Now Mode

It's not like I want them to get knocked out early. I'm just saying that's what's going to happen. Don't you think so too?

The reason you can't understand my comments is because you don't understand long term planning and what's best for the Penguins. As proof, you would prefer the Pens prioritize being loyal to Sid and stumble to middling results for 5 more years, rather than use that time to accelerate a rebuild so they can actually be real contenders in the future.

You know how your method ends? Take a look at Vancouver, Detroit, Chicago and L.A. That's where it leads.

  • Vancouver last made the Finals in 2011. It's 2019 and they're nowhere close to returning. 5 years out still easily.

  • When will Chicago go deep again, do you think? 2030?

  • The Red Wings just had three consecutive 1st round exits, followed by 3 consecutive playoff misses in the 70's points range. They haven't reached the 3rd round in 10 years. Feel free to look at their current roster to see how close they are now.

  • Kings? They're electing not to sell either. They've won 1 playoff game in the last 5 years. 30th place finish in the league last season. They have no idea what they're doing anymore.

Just because the D corps needs tweaking and a few bad trades happened

Are you shitting me? Our team's problems stem SOoooo much deeper than that. Pay attention. Jesus.
