Yeah for me the cops knocked on our dorm door (campus security was actually the city police and they had their own precinct to handle the college) and I happened to be the only idiot who read the student handbook and rights manual they handed out and knew since my roommate was not present and only one other dude was in the apartment they couldn’t search my room specially but could search the general areas. Our room was huge dorm apartment- two living rooms, two decks, two full bathroom, three bedroom and slept six but I knew they weren’t allowed to enter unless my room unless my room mate was present. We had broke open the service door which was off of my bedroom deck and normally under lock by the university and so I had in there about 1000 lcd blotters and about a pound of headies plus scales, bags, etc. For some reason the cops searched the areas they could and left and waited in the lobby for my room mate and allowed me to stay in the room while a cop waited outside our door to make sure I didn’t leave with anything. I quickly bagged everything up and chucked it onto the deck below ours (I called the girls who were below us cause they were customers and told them what happened). By the time the cops came back in with my roommate the room was cleaned. It was a close call- but i didn’t have to go to court- that would’ve been a nightmare with my family.
