People act understand until they realize your disability is permanent

I usually just bring it up if there's a limiting preventative factor. Such as, "I'd really love to join you for this event but I have a problem with accessibility at the venue" otherwise I can't think of a convo I could have where it would come up naturally. I'm not sure if others are like this but for me, the whole identity of being a disabled person isn't an identifier I personally use to describe me. I'm a person beyond that, very rarely describe myself like that. Idk I find it almost never I'd bring it up in any conversation or interaction unless to talk about a limitation or access concern.

You kinda build your social circle though if you're friends can't talk about that then maybe they're not your friends.

Find better ones likely may be all you can do.

But generally i dunno if I'd be bringing up "I have a disability" in regular convo.. I just can't really see any necessary reasons where it would be a thing. Most people can see it though so maybe it's different if you're one with a hidden disability
