I think people that are on benefits or living in a council house are looked down on too much.

It's certainly an interesting thing to think about, my mother is on benefits, but she was made redundant, suffers from ill-health and yet continues to apply for jobs and hopes to find something, she has been on four job center funded courses during the pandemic to try and learn new skills to help with finding a new job, I have no problem with her need to be on the welfare system, she hates it and wishes she could provide for herself, this is a good use of the welfare system, in my opinion.

My sister and her partner have had two children and outright refuse to work, because they calculated it and worked out they would be better off not working, and instead of using the time to educate themselves or become better and aim for higher jobs that would pay better (in their eyes), they opt to stay at home, watch Netflix and play video games, this is a terrible use of the welfare system and I certainly don't agree with it, they have been doing this for five years.

I certainly don't look down on everyone on the welfare system, you never know the background story from just the face value of someone, never judge a book by its cover, or something.
