why people care about rotations?

I will play both modes, in other games like MTG Legacy which contains almost all the cards work really well but its due the game having more interactive nature. There you can use counterspells, discard etc. to mess up with your opponents linear combo decks and even removal on their turn to ruin creature based interactions.

In SV the problem of Unlimited is eventually having so strong and fast combos that practically ignore the other player that it becomes more about the coinflip that really playing the game out since you have so little interaction in the game.

Rotation will keep the game more fresh but at the same time can never matchup to the amount of archetypes that are avaiable in Unlimited.
