Why do people claim healthy eating is cheaper?

I never said veg was expensive. the only universally cheap fruit is oranges and apples. Stuff like grapes can be ridiculous, like £4 a bag at supermarkets. Luckily there are these back of the lorry stalls that sell it for £1 a bowl but the quality is hit and miss.

There is also the issue of storage. This month I bought bulk veg but it's only because I got a new fridge. When you're living in a bedsit with a tiny fridge fresh veg is a pain because what little you can store will run out/go off so fast

> You getting ‘tired’ of food has no say in the conversation

No it's very important. the skill and prep time to make cheap food taste as good as junk is probably the main reason why people aren't bothering. Judging food by cost alone is asinine. By this logic everything could be solved by telling people to live on 10p gruel or something.
