I’ve been called “the golden boy” at work by other co-workers. Not sure exactly why, but I know for a fact that I do my job as best as I can without flinching. Inside, I may be stressing a bit to get the job done, but outside, I’m like a rock, I done like showing any weakness. I’ve also had other people dress up on Halloween in “professional attire,” like what I wear to work, and behave like me. I get that imitation is the highest form of flattery, but jeez, I’m just doing my job, not my fault I like what I do while also having a job well done.

One time, years back, I complimented someone on the sunglasses they were wearing. They straight up said, “Wow! A compliment from you?!” I brushed it off because I meant what I said.
