Why do people hate standing in the back of the bus so much?

I see on transit forums that some people think standing-room-only buses are normal and not a problem. Me, I'd rather wait for the next one, or just find a better mode of transportation really.

I fucking detest standing room only. I merely put up with it. If the bus is already standing room and completely packed, and some jackass is yelling at EVERYONE to move 3 feet back so we can fit a measly four more people on... I'm not going to be giving dirty looks to the person in the back not moving. Most of us don't give a shit about FOUR extra people. Next time plan on arriving at the bus stop NOT at the last minute and expect to get a "good" spot.
