Do people judge you mostly based on how attractive you are, regardless of your other credentials?

I've asked out a nepali girl (slightly east asian mixed but looks mostly south asian) who literally said 'sorry indian guys are not my type. I usually like asian looking guys'. If she rejected me for who i am, i would have been ok but she rejected me for being 'indian' looking, even though she could pass in parts of india herself. I have no control over my features lol.

also many pakistanis say pashtuns, afghans, iranians are so beautiful but I've never heard them say any nice things about indians. Pakistan has rivalry with afghans as well but they dont shit talk about them like they do regarding indians calling us weak, ugly, cow piss drinkers? I could post examples from many places in the online world since you think my experiences are just anecdotal.
