Why do people want to legalise marijuana?

Awareness of what? It in fact highly increases awareness of many things, the most beloved one being the increase you experience in regards to awareness of music. Also it offers most people a greater awareness of their thoughts, and allows them to work through their emotions in a more distinct and coherent way - particularly if you’re the type of person who’s prone to irrational anxiety.

But yes, it lowers your “reaction time”. You’re fucking high. Who gives a shit? I never understand the questions people have about things like this, as if it matters.

Here are some other things that “lower your reaction time”:

1. Being distracted by a video game.

2. Having a glass of wine.

3. Not getting enough sleep because your cat kept waking you up throughout the night.

4. Having a mild asthma episode.

5. Staying out in the sun too long.

Do you maybe see how it doesn’t matter? People smoke weed and then proceed to stay in their bedroom listening to music, giggling, and eating cheese crackers. They’re not out doing a fucking NASCAR race or something. Yes, there are things in life that dull things like “reaction time”. That’s part of the point. It’s remarkably enjoyable to dull certain senses, while highly elevating other ones (marijuana makes colors, sounds, flavors feel and seem far more vivid, clear, and beautiful - in addition to working wonders on the mechanics of your thought processes). People are trying to take a break from the mundane, and enter into a different state of pleasure and contentment.

Once the effects of the marijuana are over, there’s no lingering side effect whatsoever. You don’t keep having lowered reaction times, or any such thing. You’re perfectly normal after a matter of hours. Or you can even just take a single small inhale of it to have more brief effects, and be perfectly normal after even only about one hour.
