People that live in countries with socialized healthcare, how does it really work?

“socialised” is an awful way of putting it for a kick off, sounds like something mccarthy would say

we pay national insurance out of our wages as a %, it’s not enormous anyway and it’s capped at 2% of your wage after about a thousand per week

prescriptions cost about £8 flat out whatever it is you need, whether it’s a drug that costs 2p or 10 grand, kids/people with chronic conditions/low wages/not working don’t have to pay it

the quality of healthcare i’ve received has always been top notch and i’ve never had a problem with wait times for it either

if you did have a problem with wait times we also do have private healthcare that many employers provide, it’s not like it’s the only option
