People that have lost a friend they thought they’d be friends with for life, what was the cause of the friendship break-up?

I got mad at her for cheating on her fiance and she got mad at me for being mad at her. She ended up marrying the fiance, had a baby within a year, then immediately divorced him because she wasn't ready to settle down with one man.

Another best friend literally lost her mind and would call me all hours of the night saying super inappropriate stuff. She made me feel like I had to talk to her whenever she needed 24/7. I tried to help her but I couldn't live like that anymore and distanced myself from her. She had multiple stays at various institutions and nothing worked. I was young and regret distancing myself from her but I didn't know how to handle her at the time.
