People need to stop pushing for virtual school just because they hate UT Dallas

I think the option is pretty fair for online. Aside from all the bad covid brought, one thing I think it really brought forward was the acceptance of online education. Prior to covid, I had a hard time sitting through an online course on one of the other online platforms. It was distracting, hard to manage time, too slow, etc. I thought that university was worlds of difference from that. But this past year going on two or so that covid has been in the picture, I feel like I’ve changed my mind about it. Because I’ve been forced into online as we all have. You either adapt or drown. And I’ve adapted. Going from in person to online was an adjustment. And within that, smaller adjustments like live lecture to asynchronous were had. I think an argument for pro online is that students have adapted to the modality of the class, and they don’t want to adjust any more. They’d rather trust in a particular format and be given that option and just do the work that way, then be given a grab bag of online, asynch, and in person coursework.
