I mean, Sony makes it very hard to buy their phones due to their marketing choices. When I was in Europe, there are stores called "Media Markt" and "Saturn". They used to have them on display all the time, and sell them in store. Nowadays, you can only order them online and deliver them to the store and then pick it up, or buy it online. They don't display the phones anymore.

In Canada, they haven't sold any Sony phones since the XZ2 (Which is Bell exclusive). Most people see all the advertisements Apple and Samsung do, and usually buy their phones.

I had the S10, and bought the iPhone 11 Pro, which I returned a week later. Don't like the S10, and think the iPhone is meh. It sucks that Sony isn't selling their phones here, the next best thing is Pixel for me.
