People on lichess tend to know more opening theory than people on chess.com?

The universality of the 2. Bc4 is pretty funny. On one hand I hate it because I want to play the openings I studied, but on the other hand I kind of like it because I've played against it so many times now and its easy to play against. I ended up having my own "theory" on it just due to seeing it so many times and memorizing engine responses to the most common variations that come from it. I still don't understand why it's so insanely common, but I do see it a lot less now. I'm 1800 chess.com rapid now and I still see it way more than you'd expect, but its still a lot less common than it was when I was below 1650.

But what is your rating on chess.com? If you are higher rated than me, that might explain it. And you are talking about rapid, right? Blitz players seem to know much more and be much stronger in general, on both sites.
