People of Reddit, Have you ever hated someone’s guts while being nice to them and they had no idea ? What happened ?

Yeah, one of my managers. You can't win with her, so you just have to suck it up, and play ball because now she's threatening to issue write ups. One too many write ups, and you either A: get retrained, or B: get terminated.

Problem is she takes her stress out on everyone else, and I've come to hate her because of it. If you want to be a good, efficient manager? Don't belittle your underlings. You should encourage them to be the best by setting an example for them, not chewing them out in front of customers because I called for assistance on something I wasn't sure how to handle.

If I were my manager, I would reassure my associates, not criticize them for doing their job.

If you're a retail manager, I get you're in between store management, and corporate in terms of helping meet sales goals, but don't take your stress out on the stocker/cashier. If you want to drive profits down?! Do that, if you want to drive profits up? Make sure your workforce is happy to be there.

Make, sure the people you're managing actually like, and want to listen to you. If all you have is to bitch, and moan then no one will take you Seriousely as a manager.
