People of reddit how do you get a girl?

Just tell her that you were supposed to go to a museum event (or some type of event like that) with your cousin (or whoever), but your cousin can't make it...

So now you have an extra ticket, and you're not sure if she might be interested in seeing that exhibit, so the ticket doesn't go to waste.

If she says she's busy, then no harm, no foul, because you didn't actually officially ask her out! You were just casually mentioning that you had an extra ticket, and being a good friend. So no worries if she says no.

But if she says yes, then great! You two will then get to enjoy a fun event together! Although you'll have to scramble and go buy the tickets immediately!

Also if the event goes really well, and you're having a great time, and she doesn't seem immediately busy, then you can always prolong it, and offer to stop for a coffee at a cafe at the end of the event, or maybe a quick bite to eat somewhere casual like a fast food place (so probably not a good idea to go for a fancy restaurant in that scenario--just keep it casual) and keep talking and hanging out.

After that, wait a bit, play it cool.

She then might very well contact you, and say she had a great time, and strongly hint she might want to go to another event with you.

OR... you can be the one to offer up a second event... maybe saying something like, "Hey we had a fun time a couple of weeks ago at XYZ. This weekend I'm checking out ABC, so not sure if you wanted to come along?"
