People of Reddit, what did you laugh at, only to realize it wasn't a joke?

A month ago I informed my co-workers that I was pregnant, after trying immediately after getting married in April. Everybody was super happy for me, but I miscarried and ended up being taken out of work into the ER. So everybody knew. I came back Monday and everybody gave me their condolences, etc. I've been through a lot so I wasn't too visibly upset and generally laugh off my problems. Well, my supervisor comes in and is trying to move some super heavy boxes onto a dolly and she's struggling, so I get up and move them for her. As I turn to go back to my desk, a coworker says, "Oh sure! Make the pregnant girl move it!" I laugh thinking it's really shitty dark humour, at first. I come back with "Not pregnant anymore!" She goes dead face, and says, "oh.. Oh my god I'm so sorry I didn't know" She was out on Friday so she didn't know. My laughter turns into awkward, cringe laughter. She's just staring at me - horrified. I'm trying to diffuse the cringe of why I'm laughing and say "Its okay, I can appreciate laughing at myself, that was a funny situation," and more nonsense. I sit back at my desk and keep laughing. She's still looking at me like I just took a shit in the middle of the office.

I mean, it really was a funny situation..
