People of Reddit, what’s the scariest near death moments you’ve ever been in?

Anaphylaxis. I had an allergic reaction to something I came in contact with often in the past when I was alone with two toddlers. By some miracle, a friend was just down the road with her teenager who stayed with the kids. The ambulance was too far out, so my best friend drove me part of the way. I lost consciousness pulling in. Later I learned my body temp was 92f and dropping. The weird part was that I wasn't scared. I could feel my airways closing and the lack of oxygen, but I just concentrated on securing the kids in their playroom, getting my wallet, and unlocking the doors for the cops before I passed out. I have anxiety issues, but that day there was no panic. Just the next task was to make sure the kids didn't witness anything like their mum getting wheeled out on a stretcher.
