People of Reddit, what were your worst teachers, and why were they so terrible?

I grew up in the Nineties. My senior year of high school, I had a conflict with a computer teacher. He called me a slur that rhymes with "bag" and starts with "f". And he did it in front of a bunch of other students.

I'm straight and I was a senior by then so idgaf what anybody thought of me. But this was the Nineties and being any kind of LGBT was no way to win friends and influence people back in those days. If I'd really been gay and if the other kids bullied me for it... well, it could've gotten pretty ugly.

I'm not gay and none of the other kids made a big deal out of it. But it doesn't take a lot of imagination to see how things could've gotten pretty bad.
