People have seen more of the surface of the Moon with their own eyes than they have of Earth.

I'm going to say not for frequent flyers.

The moon 's surface area is about 14,600,000 sq mi. We've all see a full moon, so let's say people have seen half of the 14.6 million sq mi, which is 7,300,000 sq mi.

Flying in an airplane at 40,000 feet let's someone see 246 miles in the distance. The amount of Earth seen out that window would be 3.1415 x 246^2 x 1/2 = 95,055 sq mi. The calculation is just πr^2 x 1/2, with 1/2 being there because a person can't see the other side of the plane.

7,300,000 sq mi / 95,055 sq mi = 76.79.

So basically, anyone who has ever looked out of an airplane window 76 times in their life on different occasions plus the amount of earth they've seen on other occasions, has seen kind of about the same earth as they have seen moon.

TL;DR: if you've flown on an airplane more than 76 times, you've seen more earth than moon.
