People should understand that not everyone can move out

Doing it your way, you paid it through opportunity costs.

I hated my parents just like any other young Asians. They are /r/raisedbyanarcissist front page material, but they provided shelter and food for me. All I had to do was go to school, do well enough, graduated and got a job. I only went home for food (dinner) and to sleep. I spend my free time with my gf(s), friends, at free places like their houses, malls, or the library

I had friends who were like you, they got low-paying jobs right after graduating. They are still doing these jobs due to the fact that they forego the security provided by their parents no matter how shitty these parents are.

If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't change my decision. Those 5 years "struggle" you had? Well you are still paying for it through the opportunity costs plus interest.
