I am wondering the same thing with people I’ve met in my life. The only answer I’ve found is that a part of them has changed and want different type of people to be with. If you’re young like me, perhaps what they want and who they want to be is more easily influenced. I’m sure they don’t forget the memories, but as the memories float toward the surface they push them down without looking at them. because they do miss you, and if they were to reminisce in the memories they’d realize joy they could be having with you, but it interferes with something they want rn. And what that is none of us could know.

This is my interpretation, that a part of them had changed.
